Pitching Rules - Playoffs
During the playoffs, a pitcher may pitch four innings maximum per game. The one day rest and pitching week rule will be waived.
Time Limitations
The regular season 2-1/2 time limitation rule does not apply to playoff games. If a game is suspended due to darkness or rain, it will be continued from the spot it became suspended as soon thereafter as practicable.
Replacement Players
For both divisions, replacement players will not be allowed to play if a team has nine players at a playoff game.
A replacement player may enter a playoff game only if a starter is injured or leaves. The replacement player must take the exact spot in the batting order of the starting player.
All replacement players can only play the outfield and bat last in the order unless such player is replacing a injured or a starter that leaves. We do have one minor exception to this rule and that is if the replacement player is needed to be a catcher. Under that circumstance, that manager must inform the manager of the opposing team of that fact prior to the start of the game.
For the Blue Division, replacements for a Wilmette / KWBA / Glencoe Blue Division team can only be filled by players from that team's own community Green teams. Replacements for an Evanston or Glenview team can only be filled by players from that community’s house Pony league.
For the Green Division, replacements can only be filled either by a) players from another Green Division team of the same community who must not be higher than a fourth round pick and / or b) players from a sixth grade house league team for that community.
In other words, for both insurance reasons and for fairness reasons, no players who are not already registered to play in that community's house Pony or 6th grade program may be used as a replacement player. So, obviously, super travel players (Highwood Braves, Glenview Blaze, etc.) may not be used as replacement players.
All replacement players must play in their regular house league team uniforms.
All teams in both Divisions must have at least six regular roster players to play a play-off game. A Blue team may not use more than three replacement players in any game. Failure to have the six-player regular roster minimum will result in a forfeit.
